Poole Harbour Commision Meeting

I have just been on the PH website and read information on a recent committe meeting regarding the new Twin Sails Bridge.

 

Some interesting information was noted.

 

1/ There is a proposal to create a bylaw to stop running Red lights at Poole lifting bridge - suspect that means fines - they already have CCTV cameras in place.

 

2/ Poole lifting bridge will be closed for 1 week between the hours 1700 to 05.00 from 20th April week days only

 

3/ They are looking into a contingency for free flow when both bridges would be open at busy times.

 

4/ During construction of the new bridge there is likely to be 24 hour periods when the channel will be closed to navigation. This is allowable under the Transport Works Order and these occasions will be properly advertised.
