dave007
Just as I thought I had finished restoring " Happy Days'" . I took it on an inland lake to test it out as I have not had this boat on the water since buying it last year, everything went well, nice and gently to empty the bilges and up on the plane we went, managed 25 knots. had some good fun putting in through its paces and looking forward to bringing down to some proper water in Poole, thats the good news! Back on the drive with water connected via muffs making an adjustment to the advance and retard on the Suzuki DT 50 I noticed water coming from the head, splits had occurred from the studs due the effect of alloy steel and salt water. Off with the head! as expected studds sheared ( oh dear I said) having the 3 studds removed this week so will be able to get it back togeather soon. My cry for help is can anyone recomend a good supplier that would be able to supply both the head and water gasget for this 1984 Suzuki dt50 Sorry it's a bite long winded.
