Spinning and Lures

Any ideas on a moderattly priced setup to fish lures, rod and reel and some lures for about

Can't help you much with the rod and reel as I don't know any in your price range, don't forget to add the price of braid, it could be as much as

Surface poppers and shallow diving plugs work well round shallow rocky area's.Try the shallow divers Blue/silver combination(They look a bit like small Mackerel)

Try Rappala lures, there are many different types, some can cost a bit but they do catch bass very well given the right conditions.

 

If you look after them they last years, just change the treble hooks now and again, so in that respect you get good value for money.

 

Could not comment on lures/spinners for bream though.

I saw a 3lb bream caught on a huge jelly worm in Portland race whilst we were drifting for bass - that was a suprise!!!

Bass bandits work well up here.

why not catch a live maky and put in bucket works well for 20 -30 min do not touch with hands will burn bait and die very quick
