Raw water pump overhaul

Hi all

 

Having found out why the raw water pump packed up on me last Sunday, the circlip which holds the drive shart snapped so came apart, I have ordered the parts required but was unsure about using any lubrication when rebuilding it.

 

What grease is best? Obviously a waterproof version but what type of grease Silicon, high melting point or something else.

The pump is driven from the engines fresh water pump so spins in the region of 3000+ rpm

 

Any thoughts from anyone? unsure.gif
