Swainiac Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 Just wondering if anyone has fished locally with these.............I've used then farther west, and they worked well for Ray and wrasse for me. I would imagine they would go well off the rocks /slate ledges close in, so would appreciate any views. I've ressurected the old prawn gin, after reading Bobs thread on crab pots, and now is generally a pretty good time for shrimps and prawns, as the sea temp is pretty much at its peak........................(Waiting for the scientific input from Mikey ) Regards, Rich Quote
Afishionado Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 As far as I remember you need summat called a Rook to take prawns and then you can only do it diagonaly. There are two types white and black. Mad Mike Quote
Newboy Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 From the Solent fishing website, apparently you can net live prawns from the lake next to South PArade Pier for free. Quote
