charlieannear
Can anyone reccomend a TV/Radio/Amp repairman who does a while-u-wait or homevisit service? I've got a dry joint on one the front speaker outputs of my AV receiver which should only take a few minutes to fix (if you wiggle it, it works ), the trouble is it's the hub which everything else plugs into and then sends the relevant signal to my telly, so it's a crucial bit of kit. It's particularly noticeable during a family session of Guitar Hero this afternoon! Previously Mr Fancis Snr has done a splendid job of mending my electricals but in this case I don't want to be without it (i.e send it away/leave with shop to be fixed) as (shock horror, and no suggestions to play cards or read a book thanks!) this means no telly for the duration of it being fixed. Domestic harmony requires TV! I'm OK on soldering but I suspect this may require a little more finesse than I can achieve. And I don't have a precision soldering iron...
