Bass Fishing Ban to Save Dolphins

By Sam Marsden, PA News

Bass fishing in UK waters off South West England will be halted in an attempt to reduce dolphin deaths, the Government announced today.

Fisheries Minister Ben Bradshaw said bass pair trawling would immediately be banned from within 12 miles of the region

Does this mean that he has only banned British Boats from trawling inshore when the damage is done offshore by the frogs?

It seems to read that way, although greenpeace are bound tobe negative

Or is this the start of an effort to preserve some life out there before its to late.

If that means no pair trawlers within 12 miles inshore, at least it will give the fish some breathing/breeding space.

Have to agree with Charlie tho, it ain't doing much good to the dolphins sad.gif
