bassncodformeplease
Because of local tides making it a bit arkward for coming in mid afternoon I am taking my boat down to kimmeridge. Beside Bass fishing i've never tried there in winter. If anyone could give a pointer about somewhere to try it would be a great help Will try lulworth banks as never fished b4 cheers mike (needtogetmynewyearcod)
bassncodformeplease
Well i went! got kimmeridge 8am to find gate still locked so had to wait for gatekeeper. so 8.40ish we launch, sea didn't look too bad but once out in open water it wasn't nice. headed out too edge of a bank, anchor out, cod rod and whiting rod each. hardly any tide to start and got bites straight away. 6 whiting 1 dog in 1st half hour then as tide got strong and strong no more bites, my anchor began to drag so we moved in closer, here wind was stronger than tide! 1 sml bullhuss and couple of snags! So decide to have a drift in towards Chapmans Pool, just armed with feathers we had a perfect long drift hoping for a pollock or two but NOWT!! So that was enough headed back to slip by 2pm to find NO water! Oh well got boat close, manage to get on trailer (glad i have a 4x4) Next time i go from kimmeridge will be in spring hope for some calm warmer days Mike (lovetofishbutnotinchoppyconditions)
jay kay
Good on you Mike! You seem to get out a lot lately, you did better than we did only catching 4 whiting between 3 of us with only 2 being keepers! Fair play mate.
