To us, 'Fresh Fish' is when you catch it and eat it that night, or within the next few days. I have a friend who works in a fish merchants. To them, 'fresh fish' can have been out of the sea for anything up to 28 days, and that's even before it starts it's journey from them to the consumer. I realise that the commercial boats can be out at sea for a long time before they return to port, and that the fish in their holds is on ice, but still... Quote
