Coddy
Hi all Sussex shore fishers have a threat of being baned from beach fishing between 1st May & 30th September. If you want to read the article go here http://www.worldseafishing.com/blogsdiarie...ishing_ban.html There is a link to sign up to a on-line petition if you wish. Neal
I would suspect that their are restrictions in place locally as well. If you were to set up a beachcaster or 2 along the Bournemouth / Sandbanks Sea front in the middle of a hot weekend in mid-summer and start swinging leads about - I am sure you would be requested to move on very quickly. If a bye-law doesn't exist to cover this, I am sure one should - just in case common sense doesn't prevail. I suspect it's just the "Elf n Safety" brigade covering their backsides. ospreyman
folks the ban only covers a section of the beach in the town centre. a more worrying issue is an offence of causing annoyance ect by fishing on any of the miles of coastline in rother greg
