Mon Eve beach session

Fished Canford Cliffs last night 7 -10:30 over first high and upto 2nd hw.

 

Nick had a 1/2lb whiting on rag tipped with maccy on a wessex ledger size 1 hooks early on, I missed a load of close in flatty bites (30-40yds) on a 1 hook high pat size 2 hook(not clipped). just over HW I managaed a 3lb 15oz bass on rag @ 120yds on a 1 hook size 1/0 clipped down (longish hooklength, and breakaway lead), best shore bass for me so far this year, I managed another bass 2lb 4oz @90 yds same rig, nick had a schoolie@ 1lb and a 3oz pout. Called it a night @ 10:30. not bad for a mid week session

Good to hear the whiting are making an appearance.
