Hi guys, looking for some advice regarding solar panels. Had a few quotes from different companies, some seem to give conflicting information.

Here are the 2 questions I need answers;

 

1) one says invertor needs to be as close to the panels as possible otherwise it will lose current/power, one says it should be housed in a cool place like garage (Loft too hot in summer) because its working overtime to convert dc to ac. Any electricians?

 

2) one says they will lift the tiles and fit the brackets which the panels are fixed to, other says they will drill thru tiles, both mounting on the rafters for support. Which is better? Any roofers here?
