The great Sir Winston Churchill.

This was sent to me by one of our Italian friends with a good sense of humour.

Winston Churchill was famous for his sense of humour and there are many amusing stories about him. One of them is particularly relevant today:

When Churchill retired from politics he took a cruise on an Italian ship. A journalist from a New York newspaper asked him why he had chosen an Italian ship.

Churchill gave the question his consideration and then replied: "There are three things I like about italian ships. First, their cuisine, which is unsurpassed.

Second, their service, which is quite superb. And then - in time of emergency - there is none of this nonsense about women and children first !" biggrin.gif
