Nick had 3 flounders to 2lb and a mini schoolie (2 inch long!), they fell to rag on ledger or on float kit, I may try floated paternoster next time. Only had a few crabs which was good but I missed all my takes even when changed down to a size 2. the tide was ebbing so we then drifted aunt betty I had a solitary schoolie (typically falling on edge of channel) we then drifted castle, we had a few wrasse and the tide started to ebb out fast we managed 2 pollack and loads of wrasse drifted out to entrance with a few more bass tried to drift edge of hook but tide to fierce, picked up a pot at woodbury rock and was bagging 2 wrasse a drop on a paternoster came in finished of drifting aunt betty till enough water and went home. Tally for the day:- Nick, 3 flounders, 1 mini schoolie, 1 pollack, 19 wrasse Me, 0 Flounders!, 6 schoolies to 1 1/2lb, 1 pollack, 12 wrasse to 2 3/4lb Hopefuly of beach mid week as tides looking good! Bob F
3-0 to Nick on the Flounders, eh?... Was Nick using coloured beads in his rig???? BF
Guest colin
Both using beads, we always find one of us outfishes the other when floundering depends on which side of the boat on. Coloured beads also have some bouancy which makes bait move in tide which is good for those inquisitive flounders.
