Stuie
Headed out at 8.30 with Cabin Boy and started with a drift in the swash on the last of the ebb. Weed, weed and more weed - the slimy dark brown sort - forced an early move to the ledge. Anchor down near Gastronaught and Marine Boy and PJ indicated sport was slow. We managed plenty of doggies, a wrasse and several pout before moving to a deeper mark further west. More doggies and pout. Wind freshened and we headed west for a couple of drifts off Branksome Chine where we managed a tub gurnard. 2pm Headed in and found the harbour quite rough with a steady return to Cobbs. Another enjoyable day afloat.

Duncan F (bathclaret)
Quiet day way out west too, but avoided any of the forecast showers. Leisurely start from West Bay just before 10 and on to drift a couple of nearby wrecks. First one zilch, the second a couple of plump pollack, no great size 4.5 and 6.5lb, but ok for the box. Bubblegum Redgill Evos again did the damage. As the wind got up we came back inshore, nothing but pout and more pout on the reefs.Spent the afternoon flattie hunting off West Bexington without a single bite, which was a real disappointment. Sea cut up rather snotty with the turn of the tide so we headed back about 5:30. Overall good crack and at least we didn't blank.
