LiveBaiter Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 can anyone recommend some decent long nosed pliers that i can leave on the boat all year without rusting up? Bought some "so called" stainless pliers last summer and they are already rusted up! Toby Quote
Rob Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 I use Fox ones and they are ace!: Bournemouth Fishing Lodge: http://www.foxint.com/catalogues-products....116&catalogue=3 Think the handles might now be red on the new ones. I have the snips too, which are huge! But of course, being snips they cant be stainless, but mine are 4 yrs old and will see off a 10/0 in a finger or other part no probs! http://www.foxint.com/catalogues-products....118&catalogue=3 Rob Quote
LiveBaiter Posted May 4, 2012 Author Report Posted May 4, 2012 Thanks Rob - glad to see you have covered off every single eventuality on board (what with 10/0s in other parts) Be prepared eh? Toby Quote
Rob Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 I had them for pike fishing as on the odd occasion I had to remove a treble from a deep hooked pike and these were ace. I started carrying them in my kit since Tony D got a circle hook through his finger and none of his pliers on-board were able to snip the barb off! Now I carry them, I hope I wont need them! Quote
