Had a short and early trip yesterday (pick down at 6am) breaming with my seven year old who outfished me 3 to 1. (Must have been the fact that he was fishing over the groundbait and I was casting away from it - thats my excuse anway!) gotta keep him interested and wanting more I thought!

In three hours we had about 15 bream, betweem 1 .5 and 2.5lbs. Plus small pollack, pout, wrasse and doggies.

Interestingly, we had nothing until my son demanded that we use worms instead of squid - then suddenly he had two on one drop. So rag was the key for us yesterday.

A great mini trip and glad to see the bream are now about in numbers.

Well done Toby ... funny that about the worm..... On Saturday I had squid and rag on a 2 hook rig and it was the worm that caught.......swapped hooks and it was still the worm hook that produced !!!

Well done Toby

Take them to the fish for just a few hours when they are young and they are hooked for life.

Make them go all day in poor weather and they would soon return to the electronic game consoles.
