The wife and I went over to Jersey on Condor Express at Poole in the early hours of Friday morning.

We kept checking the ferry site for cancellations due to weather conditions but no it was going to sail albeit 1/2hr late.

Off we went and the harbour was calm, for a ferry, but the wind was blowing hard.

Got out just by Old Harry and the sea state started to roll the boat, I noticed it was wind against tide.

A number of people had settled into an early breakfeast! sick.gif

I thought to myself, I bet most of that will re-appear, I knew I should have shares in on-board catering!

By the time we had cleared land the sea had some impressive swells and many people including some of the crew were not well. sick.gifsick.gifsick.gif The vomit comet lived up to it's name!

You could hear bottles in the duty free crashing etc and it was a job to walk about without holding on. Passing Alderney it seemed worse for a while but comming into Guernsey it was all much calmer.

The journey from Guernsey to Jersey was not quite so bad but still bouncy.

Coming home was a lot better and we were in a different boat which cruised most of the time at 40mph! With the wind and tide with us this time it was much smoother.

Glad we did not go Thursday as it had to transfer passengers to the slow boat in Gurnsey, there were a nuber of people hurt and cars damaged in the 4m swell!

Got to the car park and the pay machine was not working so we all got a free days parking!

Good day out though but a long day, cost us
