looking at the damage to the sharks jaws caused by cutting the side muscles i am suprised that these ''fishermen'' who where ''tagging the fish'' where not two embaresed to publish the photo. D V huh.gifweep.gif

Something not right about story,why have in boat to tag?plus he said he went after it because it was attacking seals???Was he going to kill it anyway??

Seems they went to kill it and he got what was coming.

 

An experienced shark fisherman who intends to tag and release would not boat a shark. A sharks liver is a very delicate organ, and too easily damaged. If you had to boat one which is to be released use a sling.

 

Quite why the mention of 'great white shark family' other than to sensationalise, is beyond me.

 

Both porbeagle and great white are Lamniformes, commonly called 'mackerel sharks' of which there are about 16. It is not the 'Great White Shark family'

I just had to look at the report again, it takes 2 or 3 readings for all the crap to sink in. i have one piece of advice for Mr Currie the specialist shark fisherman weep.gif given to me many years ago, It goes like this<<'Get it right' rather than ''get a headline'' Derek, (must get some steel toe capped boots'' tongue.giftongue.gif
