Neal Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Poole Charter Skippers run an annual species hunt competition - normally held at the beginning of June This year it was postponed due to bad weather and has been rescheduled for Friday 5th September. It is a 4 man Team event and we have been drawn on Random Harvest. 2 of the Team cannot make the revised date - does any body else want to take the 2 positions available! Please reply if interested and I will provide more information. Neal Quote

niggle Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 If any of you would like to borrow my tubertini rod it's ideal for these comps on a crowded boat at 4 m and it's a quiver tip Nigel Ps I won't need it in Ireland Quote
iansimpson63 Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Hello Neal, I would have liked to but I will be in Norway for a weeks fishing, bummer. I can't tell you how to fish but can I recommend a size 16 fly for the smaller species as it worked during the July competition. Secondly, secure your rods to the boat as I heard of some poor bu**er that lost £300 worth of rod n reel in the same competition! Cheers Ian Quote
Rob Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Ps I won't need it in Ireland Tuna or shark fishing Nige? niggle 1 Quote
