Stuie Posted April 24, 2015 Report Posted April 24, 2015 A 7,30 start from Cobbs with Ken intending to return at 12 midday in view of the weather reports. Straight to the patch and anchored trying for bream and whatever else fancied our offerings. We were the only boat there. (That should have given me a clue......) The bream were a long time coming but we managed three shortly after 11am with a few wrasse and pout earlier. Cracking cuckoo wrasse - Back at Cobbs at 1pm with a good wash down for Sea Dream - thanks for coming out Ken, and for wielding the sponge. niggle, Leicester Fisheagle and Martin.C 3 Quote
Mike Fox Posted April 25, 2015 Report Posted April 25, 2015 Great looking fish Stuie! Wonder if the bream think it's still a bit early, or were their numbers hammered last year? Mike Quote
Stuie Posted April 25, 2015 Author Report Posted April 25, 2015 I think it's location and tide Mike. When we left there were 20 or so boats anchored and the flood had started too. True Blue anglers were catching plenty as we passed too. Quote
biggcol Posted April 25, 2015 Report Posted April 25, 2015 We managed 12 nice Bream to 2lb in a couple of hours. We saw you heading back in Stuie we were 100 mtrs south of Steve. Bobi had a very early Garfish on the bottom which was a surprise and a nice Corkwing. Stuie 1 Quote
Sam Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 we struggled all day with only 4 dogfish and a small eyed ray, highlights of the day were watching the dolphins swim by jumping clearly out the water and Wills Alfresco Pie, still better than being at home Rob 1 Quote
