Rob
So, after last weeks fun on JV after work, Adam invited me again, how could I refuse. We met at Parkstone Bay and off we went - the inital plan was bait! We tried around Peveril and to no avail - nothing. Mackerel drought was the thought. After 30 mins we decided to push out to the end of Durlston where there was some tide. Bingo - the motherload! full strings and some nice big eaters. We tried for a bass (low expectation due to minimal tide) but at max 1 knot drift it wasn't looking good. We had 3 or 4 drifts and then headed to the evenings ray mark we sat at last week. With the wind (10knts) beating the tide it was annoying, so after a few mins and a doggy we moved to the shelter of the Purbecks. We found the with the westerly wind and the southerly tide flow that had built JV sat nicely. Baits down and round 2 of dinner. Some undulates made an appearance, a small eyed and a thorny. There were of course a couple of dogs too. The eveing was lolvely, sky amazing, and some good fish. The one mis-hap was a custard slice that hit the deck, luckily JV is kept spotless and said slice was still consumed! Best was to Adam, Undulate 12lb 10oz. niggle and Mal Thomas
