Raymond Ellerton Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 The Paint inside my boat is flaking off looks like cheap house paint . can anyone tell me a hard wareing paint for fiberglass and where can i get some ? Regards Ray Quote
Neal Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 Many different types of paint available - I suggest you speak to your nearest Chandler and ask what type they recommend. Quote
great white Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 Biggest problem Ray would be putting good paint over rubbish. The existing paint would have to be sanded right back then you could use something like International toplac over its undercoat. We use that on our work boats here at the Yacht Club and they get a hard life. As Neal says talk to Pete at Quay West chandlers, full of good advice and will give Club discount. Quote
Bramble banker Posted November 2, 2017 Report Posted November 2, 2017 As above, I would recommend trying to get every last bit of the old rubbish off but there are lots of good deck and locker paints out there that would fit the bill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
great white Posted November 2, 2017 Report Posted November 2, 2017 2 packs do not go over one packs so be carefull with that. All the old stuff would have to come off, plus an undercoat Quote
