Fiberglass paint

The Paint inside my boat is flaking off looks like cheap house paint . can anyone tell me a hard wareing paint for fiberglass and where can i get some ?

Many different types of paint available - I suggest you speak to your nearest Chandler and ask what type they recommend.

Biggest problem Ray would be putting good paint over rubbish.

 

The existing paint would have to be sanded right back then you could use something like International toplac over its undercoat.

 

We use that on our work boats here at the Yacht Club and they get a hard life.

 

As Neal says talk to Pete at Quay West chandlers, full of good advice and will give Club discount.

As above, I would recommend trying to get every last bit of the old rubbish off but there are lots of good deck and locker paints out there that would fit the bill.

take a look at car 2 pack paints

2 packs do not go over one packs so be carefull with that.

 

All the old stuff would have to come off, plus an undercoat
