steve m
I've been looking for a couple of uptide rods for my small boat which would be used for inshore fishing but there are 2 options 4-7 oz or 6-10 oz. what would people recommend for in Poole bay. Thanks in advance.
Tarlach.
I’m not any expert on Poole bay tide strengths as I don’t fish there but, if it’s strong go for the 6-10 if it’s not then the 4-7! Stuie
I'd go for the 4 - 7 one - land most anything you're likely to hook - i rarely cast more than 6oz. Kingfisher 126
great white
when I lived in Pompey most of our fishing was uptiding and I loved it, mostly using the heavier rod. Moving here 30 years ago that changed as a lot of decent marks are to be honest a bit to deep. Fine for inshore ray fishing and around the dolphin sands, but over 80 ft deep its a struggle and you would probably use 8oz grip weights in the tide. Wedger
If you contact Derek (codpiece) on here, he has some for sale.
