Paul D Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 Kam, As you have probably read elsewhere, Will ( on his new boat which I don't know the name of ) and Neo are launching from Lymington at around about 7 AM on Sunday. The more the merrier I say ( but so long as the faster boats don;t get to the good smoothie marks before me ) Quote
Swainiac Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 Smoothies or Bass round the back of the island...or why not both?? The weed should be dropping off a little by now, so why not make an evening sessionfor that club record stinger??? Crew needed?? Give me a PM. Rich Quote
Paul D Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 Rich, We are going for a 7AM launch - will fish all day into evening if Gordon is up for it. Kam is looking for crew. I noticed that the shallow water was not as bad for weed as the slightly deeper spots, so stingers he we come PS; By "back of island" I assume you mean in the Solent near the BOM.... Quote
Newboy Posted July 6, 2005 Author Report Posted July 6, 2005 I'm up for an evening session if Rich is up to it. Rich, log in and read your PM. Quote
Swainiac Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 Guys, since posting, I have been asked tocrew ouit of weymouth, so am fishing down west. Paul, if you bring a chart that shows the whole of the island, I will show you a good place round the back, to target bass with live joeys, but my thoughts would be to concentrate inside, if weed allows. As you say, the closer in you fish, the less the weed is a problem. If you start fishing towards the Boom, the two bungalows, and wotrk up the Solent towards Lepe, the mouth of the Beaulieu River is a good holding spot for middle sized bass, to worm or lures, also, stingers have been taken there...will show u where tonight. Also Hampstead ledge is a definate maybe, ok? Tight lines guys. Rich Quote
