john c
Thanks Mike I feel a lot better now. It's good to be backed up by science in the face of the "Anties" Regards John C
Newboy
What about the wire trace we use for tope and conger, they don't rust out, do they?!
Afishionado
What about the wire trace we use for tope and conger, they don't rust out, do they?! The plastic coated s/s wire ones can as the plastic coating stops the air contact with the s/s. If any salt water has been conducted into contact with the wire by capilliary action through say a small abraision in the plastic, the s/s in contact with the salt water but NOT in contact with air (oxygen) will corrode. duncan
Duncan, if you're reading this, the mark from my little black book was that great looking peak that showed on your Sonar recording. interesting that it fishes in the summer too - had a couple of discussions with people at the time and the suggestion was that it didn't.......... going to be pretty busy there this winter ..... having had that red letter day with a 15lb + cod, blond and conger on consecutive drops last winter there I'm happy it holds fish! like all good featured ground you have to be pretty accurately positioned to the feature you are fishing too. Bob F
They'll have to find the place first, Duncan. Not as easy as it sounds, especially without the numbers. BF
