Newboy Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Supposed to go sharking today, unfortunately Colin the skipper of Flamer 3 ordered some shark traces from Weymouth angling centre a week in advance and they still didn't get it for the day. So only 2 shark traces we decided it wasn't going to work with 6 on board. Instead we fished the various wrecks south of Portland bill and landed lings largest being a 25 lbs and congers upto 35lbs. On way back we tried the mussel bed for breams, had 3 small ones in 4 drifts. Good day even tho we didn't get to go sharking. Quote

Gnasher Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 well done Kam, 2 be honest id much rather have my rod bent double with a big conger or ling than a bream. Saying that, a 4-5lb fish would be very welcome, a shark would be even more welcome though Quote
