TomBettle
Hello All Just wanted to say thanks to all who made me welcome at last weeks club meeting. What with work n stuff I don't get as much time for fishing as I used to, but being part of what seems a great bunch of people and an active club should hopefully see me stretch my line a little more often. One or two of you may have noticed that I sell boats for a living. A complete mixed bag of styles, but including some "high end" private angling boats. After hearing how indespension are offering club members a deal and without wishing to make this sound too much like a sales pitch I would like to make an offer of my own (the committee can make this as formal or otherwise as they wish): Any club member will be offered an instant 5% discount over and above any other deal negotiated. This substantial cash saving is offered with one or two small proviso's: 1) Any potential buyer must let me know they are PBSBAC members straight away 2) They must let me know details of any part exchange straight away 3) I can only offer this on new boats from the models in my range If you are thinking of changing, want more comfort just want a chat about boats then pop into my office at Saltern's Marina, the kettle is always on. If you don't know my range of boats then visit http://www.southernmotorboats.co.uk If you don't think they are real fishing boats, I can promise you they are top line and offer loads more comfort and stability than similar sized boats that we are more familiar with, all for the same sort of money and often less. I own two myself (shared with friends), a 23 footer which is often seen in Alderney and a 21 foot sporty one which is great for bombing around and getting up creeks etc. Still don't believe me? See what Sea Angler Mag and Boat Fishing Monthly have had to say in previous and coming reviews... Oh dear, I didn't mean to go into one, but the 5% discount is a genuine offer to all club members. If you are bwosing this forum and not yet a member of PBSBAC bare in mind that membership is
Sam
hi tom were thinking of changing our new boat to an offshore 30 do you get many offshores or are they two big. sam
TomBettle
Hi Sam I don't deal with Offshore boats from new. The brand I represent is Jeanneau which are aimed at the leisure market and suit comfort loving people like me who worked out that whilst I wanted room for 10 to fish I only actually went out with 3 or 4. Our "Fisher's" go up to 32 feet, but this is more "Big Game" style than typical of what the Uk market uses. Offshore's on the whole are sold "part built" to commercial and charter skippers. We do get one or two through from time to time on brokerage and I will certainly keep an eye out for you. The best way to buy an Offshore would be either buy the hull, deck, wheelhouse and engine (recommend Caterpillar 3126) and then get a professional to finish her for you. Brand new, all up, a 30 can be put together for around
