Bob F
I haven't fished off Portland Bill for 20+ years. Used to fish Church Ope. From what I remember, there is a steep climb down some steps to the small cove beach. The beach is south facing and there are rocks to the right and left with the middle being clear sand. I used to fish to the right and cast just over the edge of the rocks. Species at this time of year are surprizingly varied, but you have to fish during dark hours!! Small spotted rays, bass, sole to a 1lb, pollack, pout, poor cod, and even small plaice (at night!!). Bob F.
