Afishionado
A winter time tip.......... FOR many years I've kept my legs warm in winter by wearing ladies' tights beneath my trousers. I've never found it embarrassing, as they make perfectly good - and economical - leg warmers. As a pensioner saving money and staying warm are my priorities. In summer I switch to wearing cooler and more hygienic stockings and suspenders. Mad Mike

Newboy
Somehow I don't think goose fat, vaseline, suspenders with long handles go together on a boat, just think once slip and 'ouch....' the rod can end up where the sun doesn't shine..... DommyBoy
A quick tip for avoiding getting cold toes....... RUB A GOOD AMOUNT OF DEEP HEAT (OR SOMETHING SIMILAR) INTO YOUR TOES (ON THE SKIN) BEFORE YOU YOU GO OUT. I do this before i play football on a really cold evening on a damp pitch. this keeps the toes roasty toasty! OOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhh YYYYYYYYYYeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssss!
