Coddy
Crew Rich Launched Sammy at Wick slipway and headed downstream. Managed to contact Adam you said the bar was low of water but he and Bob both managed to get out. Reached the bar at about 8am and low tide was due at 9.30am so I thought that there should be enough water at that time for a Warrior. Going out we did ground once but got off again without any problems and just managed to get out with inches to spare under the keel and the engine tilted well up! Head for Clan Mcvey, I did not have the exact number but was close by to the wreck. Dropped the pick and as it was about slack we slopped around a bit until the flood tide got going. We were soon into whiting and pout and some nice ones came aboard. My largest was 2lb 71/4ozs when weighed at home some time later. Bob turned up later and did some surveys and found the wreck very close to where we were but said it was spread around and we were fishing towards a small gully. Bob dropped his pick so that he could fish the wreck itself. Just afet lunch Neo turned up and sat close by but there was a slack period again and we all started to swing about and the fish went off the feed. All in all not a bad day to be out and as a bonus both Rich and I caught some fish. Hope others had a good day as well. Coddy
Paul D
Nice to see you and Rich out there today. Shame the slack water came just as we got there. We had been fishing a rough patch ( appeared to be some sort of wreckage ) to the west of the Clan. No sooner as we had downed anchor ( I hope we werent too close to you ) we hit a slack period then the boat turned from the gulley that you were fishing - just my luck. Still I was glad to wet a line at all today !
