DommyBoy
I know its not fishing related but does anyone know anything about archery? I ask because i have recently moved house and whilst doing the once over of my old house to check that i had packed everything, i was in the loft and discovered a 64" Longbow in a case. It is a nice one (not that i know what a bad one looks like) and was thinking about selling it but dont know the best way to do this or the best person to ask what its worth. Swainiac
Dommy...........there is an active archery club in Southampton, Ive been there a few times, but it didnt float my boat so to speak, so a few enquiries there should put a price ticket on it. Failing that......bang it on trusty old E-bay. Rich PS. If I'd sold a house, and had a longbow in the attic worth a few squid, I know my longbow wouldnt be sat in your attic
DommyBoy
Cheers mate, Re leaving it in the loft. it was well covered up with loads of loft insulation. if i hadnt of been having a look for the water valve to turn off the water i would have never of seen it and nor would of anyone else unless you moved loads of stuff. i lived there for 1 1/2 years and have been in that loft loads of times and must have walked over it a million times. Still if its not worth nout ive not lost anything, but who knows it could be worth a bit. Thinking Ebay's my best bet.
Afishionado
Either stick it on Ebay at a 99p start price and see what happens. Mad Mike
Seamouse
If it's got "Robin of Locksley" carved by the handle, it might be worth a few pennies Either way, they ain't cheap (I did a bit as a poor student and couldn't even afford the entry-level plastic ones) and should sell on Ebay. Try Googling Longbow on UK only sites and see if you can ID it first? Steve It'd make a very good flare launcher
Newboy
Why would anyone hide a longbow in the loft under the insulation? Maybe he was trying to hide it from the missus? Or just do a google on 'Murder', 'Arrow', 'Longbow', 'England'..........
crazy fred
yea but has any thought it might not be a long bow! it just might be a one stringed harp and the missis couldn't stand the noise so she hid it !!.So when he murdered her because he couldn't find it did he bury her under the floor and move, leave it where it is!!! and get out
