Paul D
I suddenly realised I work right near a slipway into Langstone Harbour. Brockhampton Slipway. So stopped off on the way to work to check it out. Good news is that the slipway is huge and nice concrete. The bad news is that it is at th end of Langstone Harbour, so a long way out. The really bad news is the 6FT barrier preventing any vehicles over 6ft form entering !!! The latter is not mentioned on boatlaunch.co.uk, so I have let them know and you are contemplating using this slip, then make sure your boat on trailer is less than 6ft high or ...... Bob F
Wow, bit of an oversight by boatlaunch!! Kind of negates the use of such a bit slip.
Paul D
I know, I kept looking at it thinking that there must be some way in..... But there isn't as far as I can see. There are also two huge concrete blocks which the council place across the entrance when/if travellers turn up. That is the reason for the 6ft height limit I presume. Shame really as it is a perfect slip for fishing Langstone Harbour.
