BigMac Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 I' m off to Thailand in the middle of May, Staying in Phuket not far from Chalong pier and me and the missus fancy a 2 day, 1 night fishing safari. I've looked through the web and there is a lot of charter boats to chose from, all round about the same price and all sound brilliant. I was wondering if anyone has any personal experience of fishing in that area, or Skipper/boat names that they could recommend Cheers Al Quote
Bob F Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 Not somewhere I've been. Is that really the name of the place? Sounds like someone swearing??? Quote

shytalk Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 the boats are not like the big game boats you would expect to see but seemed to be much of a muchness, i wouldnt swim in chalong bay if i were you and only drink bottled water and dont pay asking price for anything Quote
Paul D Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 .... dont pay asking price for anything Wise advice, it is the "norm" to barter for goods in the far east and the good thing though is that even if you are being ripped off it is still dirt cheap Quote
