alun j.
...... they often get it wrong! As Adam found on Fri., Sat was much the same, and rather mucked my plans. 8 am. at Castletown there was a gentle NE breeze [ as forecast]; easy launch but no road space to park [ so
TomBettle
Great report Alun A+ and a gold star! Shame about the fishing, but it is slowly starting to come together and I reckon pretty soon we will be getting and placing the sort of reports we have spent the start of this year dreaming about. jack
Well done Alun. Heroic as usual.. Andy and I had a similar day, around the Swanage area.Cold east wind, lumpy sea, adding to last weeks bruises.unusual for us,no bites .nice bit of sun late afternoon, doing drifts in the swash Chanel.A second session of dumped worms, pity they dont offer,"Use or return", is'nt it ?....jack
duncan
wondered if that was you off Swanage Jack - couldn't see your stern as we passed and no call so we headed on. only really out for fuel and a test after all the works but had a couple of rods on baord with bait and lunch......... bobbed around on the reef in the (slight) lee of St Albans but not much happening - moved right into the Pool for a lovely mirror calm hour and a bite then another go on the reef saw a single wrasse to Dave about 2lb. ran back to finish the labours - oil and filter, both fuel filters and engine coolant drain/refresh nice to be out but quite franly anchored behind Brownsea with a few tinnies and the BBQ would have been more fun (honest)
