Newboy
Not slagging off UK hooks but I'm really disappointed with the 9/0 treble they recommended for my Norway trip. They are just not up to standard. They bent (fairly) easily, had one straightened out and one simply got crushed by a wolffish. No doubt they are fine for everyday wrecking use here but simply not upto the task for the bigger fish (not that I managed to catch any.... ) Edited May 26, 2006 by Newboy

Newboy
What gets me is that Mike 'recommends' them, stating he has customers going to Norway year after year and has never have any problems with them. He's either lying or his customers are as crap as I'm at catching big fish.
Swainiac
Kam, all my hooks come from UK Hooks, and I stand by their quality. Mike comes across to me as a very honest guy, and Ive never had any problems with any merchandise bought from him, his hooks are supplied by quality maunufacturers. However, Ive never had a 50lb wolf fish hanging onto a hook!!!!!! Rich
Newboy
Wolffish don't come that big. I had the largest and it was only 13 1/2 lb.
