Member Removed
Hi All Looking for some advice as where to fish around the christchurch area? Father-in-law has a seahog hunter and we are bringing it down on holiday to christchurch, hoping to steam out to sea most days if we can find somewhere to moor it for a week ( any suggestions would be most helpful) if not will be launching from chrsistchurch harbour. As we are new to the area any advice would be most gratefully accepted. Thanks Graham

Newboy
I'll check with the tackle shop, I think the river and some of the harbour is permit only.
Paul D
Most of the Stour that you can fish from a boat is only fishable if you are a member of Christchurch Angling club and even then you are not allowed to fish with spinners. Your best bet to fish the harbour from a boat is to get yourself a permit for Stanpit ( ie. The harbour ) which is something like
