Anyone intending to go out from Wick this weekend?

I'm making plans to take Legless out, but would need a hand with launching a retreiving, so it would be good to co-ordinate the launches, etc.

I haven't looked at tides, etc, yet.

cheers

I am hoping to get out Friday day and night with Alun and then Saturday if I can get crew so could be available to assist. In fact, I had also intended inviting Legless but my plans weren't finalised 'till today. I'll let you know if I can get crew. What are you planning, an assault on the bass with livebait?

Terry,

Yes that is the plan. Bit of bass fishing to start and then settle down as it gets dark for the sole.

Probably see you out there I presume.

Hmmm...a bit of bass and sole fishing sounds good. Might change my plans and fish Friday afternoon/evening, then.

Jason, can you make Friday afternoon, too???

James, you couldn't make the 4th anyway I recall ph34r.gif

Lady Jane was going out on the Friday as well, I recall from another post elsewhere, so always good to have a few boats out there if night fishing.

Anymore takers ?

Hi Bob,

Friday is looking good. Put me down as a definite. I hope to see you, Terry and all at Thurs meeting to arrange it all. Any chance you could let me know what we will be fishing for , so i can make up some rigs. Cheers Jas

Tide ( what there is of it ) times at Christchurch Entrance are as follows :-

LW 12:11 0.9 metres

HW 19:27 1.5 metres

LW 02:02 ( Sat ) 0.8 metres

Can't see any problem getting in or out even at LW.

Alun and my plans are similar to yours, Paul. Hopefully, I shall be staying at Chez Jones Thursday night so will be at the meeting. It's a long commute from Oxfordshire, I think I'll have to move down.

We'll go and do some bassing with Paul and the gang first, so lightish rods with float rigs or Portland rigs, which ever you prefer.

Then, when it gets dark we can move inshore and have a go for the sole.

I'll pick up some ragworm tomorrow.

See you tomorrow night.
