fritchy
Hi Jason, Cobbs Quay is a bit over 2000 pounds for the year for a 5.8m boat. Most things work well there most of the time. Nice loos, good sandwiches at the bar...etc. No issues so far. My boat can get out under Poole Bridge in (almost) any tide...I am not sure I would want to use this marina if I was restricted to bridge lifting times. (i.e. if I had a bigger boat). Cheers, Mike F
plaicemat
Try Tom for details of Salterns. I don't know what they're like for pricing but the marina looks good to me. Terry.
great white
Salterns is the most expensive Marina on the South Coast If its a short stay or winter berth try Dolphin Haven on the Quay,01202 649488 only snag parking or try Parkstone Bay [was mitchells] 01202 747857 they have a small marina and dry stacking. Good luck Charlie
Sam
dad stop calling it dolphin its poole quay boat haven jason i work at poole quay boat haven and for a winter let all the way to march works out 150 per metre so a 5m boat would be only 750 pounds and because its that small will fit around the back so will prob get a discount good place to be right on the quay all the pubs and shops and fireworks and events. and even the staff are alright sam
great white
Not sure about the staff Sam. but the Haven is not bad winter berthing, whatever they are calling it now. Charlie
plaicemat
Presumably that's the berthing actually on the quay, up to fishermans dock or slip or whatever. So what happens in the summer there, is it casual berthing? I would be quite interested in something for a week so what would it cost, Sam. I'm prepared to make allowances for the staff! Terry. Swainiac
Terry.....isnt "up the fishermans dock", or "slip" intended for punchlines on the Botty Pic?? Rich
plaicemat
Damn, I missed an opportunity there! Terry.
Sam
the berths are all pontoon berths with access to electricity because your boat is not over 10m we can fit you around the back so there is a bit of discount works out about 90 quid for a week maybe a bit less. and electricity is 3 pounds on top. sam
plaicemat
Thank you, Sam, that may be an option I hadn't considered before. Who do I contact? Terry.
Sam
if you phone up the office on 649488 and speak to someone either ask for me if im in or speak to john binder but make sure you say you can fit around the back wall or he will say no for certain sam
duncan
Sam - do you mean 90 per week or is this the month? 750 the winter season discounted as you suggested earlier would seem closer to 90 a month..........
Sam
sorry 66.85 per week and 575.00 for winter rate for a 5m metre boat 13.37 per metre per week 115.00 per metre for winter rate sam
duncan
so if you are looking at 2 months you might as well take the whole 6 of the winter season then. makes sense really thnaks for posting it all anyway Sam
plaicemat
I think the details Sam gave were for me, Duncan, as I asked for details for a week's mooring. Thanks, Sam. Terry.
Sam
yeah if you work it out most people do that take the whole sixth months as it is not that bad a deal and then you are on the list for the summer months too sam
Mike Fox
Sam, cos of new bridge etc, am thinking of moving. Any idea about full year rates - or summer only? Thanks, Mike
Sam
the way i suggest for the summer is booking for a month at a time for 2 months and then approaching john about 3 month lets and if you went on the winter moorings you would be asked automatically if you want a summer let if anyone wants a winter let has to be done soon as there nearly all gone sam
