Afishionado Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 October this year is predicted to have the highest (and lowest) tides for centuries. If one of the high's comes with a low air pressure storm surge devistating flooding is expected along the south and east coasts. Well that's nice isn't it? Mad Mike Quote
plaicemat Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 Makes me feel quite smug about living in Oxfordshire! I have rooms available on short term lets at reasonable cost. Book early! Terry. Quote
Bob F Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 Well I picked a hill to live on, and have a boat on the drive, so I hope I've covered all bases. Hmmm...thinking about it, I wonder if I can use this as an excuse for getting a bigger boat? "Yes dear, but our boat doesn't have a cooker, and what will you do if you want the loo. Perhap we need a bigger boat..." Sounds reasonable to me. BF Quote
