Coddy
It's quite worrying! For those who don't know what this is all about then visit www.save-our-sharks.org Anyone interested in saving this species and that should mean everyone on this forum, can reply. All it takes is a quick email to tope@defra.gsi.gov.uk stating that you wish to vote for option 2. If you do fish for tope then also mention the areas you fish and roughly how much you spend on the fishing each year. I've pasted the latest SOS newsletter for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. ------------------------------------------------------------------- SOS October Newsletter Hi All SOS is growing rapidly and our membership has known grown to well over 200. I would like to offer a big Welcome to all those that have joined recently. You will remember that our last members email was full of doom and gloom as very few anglers had bothered to respond to the consultation. The situation has improved this week but we need to keep them coming. We cannot let apathy ruin this golden opportunity. Thanks to all those that have responded; for those that haven
great white
I have sent this off today It is not intended to be from the Club I mention our Club to add weight to the email I like Dave ask you all to find time to support this campaign, by adding your opinions and sending them to defra Charlie I am writing to express my grave concerns about the diminishing numbers of Tope being caught in my local area [Poole Dorset] This letter expresses my opinions, I fish with my wife and two sons for tope during the summer season on my own boat. I am the Fish recorder for the Poole Bay Small Boat Angling Club, so this email also reflects the catches and opinions of many other anglers in the area. Our Club has over 150 Members many of whom own and run their own angling boats from small fast trailered boats to 33 ft boats capable of crossing the English Channel. As a combined number we spend a vast amount of money with various boat builders, engine manufacturers and fishing tackle companies nationally and also a substantial amount locally with various Car parking, Slipways, Marina
