blueboatdriver
It's really bad luck to change the name anyway; so I've heard. Boat.

Afishionado
Made by M J Fry in Poole at a factory just behind the Citroen dealer at Hamworthy. I think they designated the boat as a 21ft Seaworker....... I have changed boats names in the past and apart from being hit by the drop tank off a high flying U2 and getting 5hit on by seagulls every time I leave the house I have had no bad luck at all Simply Red is OK as long as your name is Mick Hucknell and you've got ginger hair! If not I have some Deed Poll forms to change the name and a trip to the hair dresser should do for the hair. Mad Mike
cascars
It's really bad luck to change the name anyway; so I've heard. Boat. If you change the name on a boat you should always keep the old name somewhere on the boat to avoid bad luck apparently. I can not remember where I read this but it was fairly recently
DommyBoy
Definately bad luck......me and Dan aka Gnasher changed the name of a boat once, never again. It was a 23' cruising boat and when we got her it was immaculate. Once the name change took place everything went wrong. It broke free of its mooring in a storm in mudeford and hit rocks, the engine packed up, the starter motor went, the prop got battered on the sand bar, the trim tabs stopped working, then wehen all this got fixed, we put her on ebay and all was running fine when as soon as someone came to look at her the bloody thing didnt work-again-but they still brought it anyway...... We will never change a boats name again! Dom

jack
I had to provide a boat name for my insurance company to cover my Zodiac.of course it didnt have one,so after much thought,I called it CONDOM. Because it was made of rubber;soft and flexible;easy to get into, and provided lots of pleasure. I thought it was clever and funny. But when it came to affixing the name to the boat,my wife got ratty and said SHE would not go in it..Tell me a better reason to change a boat name ?...jack
