alun j.
Not quite the weather they forecast [ Is it ever ??]; but very pleasant few hours in Totland Bay. The fishing didn't match the last trip , two weeks ago, but there was still plenty of action to keep us busy [ esp. when you try to make tea / cook up a bacon buttie !]. As you'd expect in Feb, most of the action came from doggies...... some of these were big enough for the fish box [ and culinary skills will be put to the test early next week]. The whiting, pout and conger were all small stuff , but added a bit of variety Enticer, close by, seemed to have similar action and picked up a spotted ray [ skate?]. Any more , after we left , Gordon ?? I took a few photos. of Enticer........ I'll try to attach...!! Alun.
Manic Moore
Just more of the same, 10 minutes of quiet then a couple of doggies, pretty well as it had been from the tide turning. I will remember the day because this was the first day I have been able to use the full power of Enticer and she just purrs along at 25 knots and had a blast of just over 30 although after 28 she starts to skip about a little. I am going to tweak my trim tabs a touch as she also favours the port side a little. Nice to get out, shame about the big tides as I would have been out for a conger session Gordon We have a couple of photos Alun, I will get some new batteries for the camera and post

Manic Moore
Duncan Did you use some pre set wizards to enhance the photo or are you a wiz on photo shop. The photo is sharper, better colours and less pixels
duncan
no pre sets - adjustments in exposure, offset, shadows, highlights, levels, crop & rotation (to get the horizon back on a level plane), edge sharpen and 2 layers of usm, resize (bicubic) then reduced the JPEG quality to reduce the size. as you will see between the time you emailed to my post - under 10 mins including th eupload/post. just a bit of fun but your original was a nice clean shot to work on. I'm learning this stuff as I play with some new toys..............only taken it near the water once so far; here's one I like Edited February 18, 2007 by duncan
