HI DOES ANY ONE KNOW ANY THING ABOUT THE EXPORER ELITE .I PURCHASED ONE TWO YEARS AGO BUT HAVE NOT USED IT YET . I KNOW BRIAN ATHERTON HAS SUBSEQUENTLY GONE OUT OF BUSINESS WHICH IS NOT TO ENCOURAGING BUT THE BOAT ITS SELF SEEMS WELL BUILT AND IT IS VERY SIMILAR TO THE 16 .5 WARRIOR. DOES ANY ONE HAVE ONE OF THESE BOATS WITH IN THE CLUB??? ANY COMMENTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED THANK YOU PAUL +MARIA

Hi Paul & Maria

 

Firstly welcome to the forum and the club if you have joined us.

 

How can you have a boat and not use it for 2yrs! I'd be itching to use it and get out there and play.

Was there anything specifically you were thinking about? The Elite, 165 and Endeavour boats are all very similar, in fact at one time I think they all used to work together but I could be wrong on that point.

 

If you have any questions just ask away, I am sure you will get as many responses to questions to confuse you even more at times but there is a number of knowledgeable people out there.

 

Just a tip, turn off the "caps lock" as capitals in a forum indicates you are SHOUTING.

I designed and built the Explorer 500 in 1997 which became the 2000 and lastly the Elite. I can only vouch for the quality of the boats that i built, and have not heard of any bad ones. Brian and myself were partners in approx 2000 until i went back on my own and developed the Endeavour 500.
