Sam
well went out with duncan on friday for a couple of hours breaming on christchurch ledge. got down to the boat for 3 o clock and headed up the harbour for corralls to fill her up. went past vigilant and noticed two of my work colleagues in the back having a ride to get them used to it one not looking very well whilst filling up frisky fox came along with full crew eager to get fuel and after a slight over flow of diesel on the boat we were off down the harbour heading for chain ferry. left the harbour and got up to speed and headed off to christchurch ledge at 22 knots starting to remember why i loved being out on the boat so much arrived on the ledge, and greeted with a steady flow of wrasse and doggies, soon joined by the two pauls on marineboy telling us we were in the wrong spot. so re anchored next to marineboy and continued to catch a steady flow of wrasse, doggies and the occasionly pout. just as the sun started to go down i got a very vigourous rattle which was no wrasse, my rod went mental then the glimer of silver as a nice bream popped surface and now can definately remember why i loved fishing soon followed by duncans bream which was bigger then mine but he is the skipper. headed in about 7.30 on a flat calm see and was on the mooring all tied up at quarter to 9 thanks for a nice evening duncan really enjoyed it sam
Paul D
Went out for a quick trip with PJ on Marineboy. Beautiful conditions heading out. Passed Eddie in Pink Squid on the way out and got a thumbs-up so hopefully he caught some bream. Out to the ledge through the new run and 30 knots + we were soon at the ledge. Went past Duncan ( who was on a mark I have never fished myself ) and onto "the mark". Steady flow of doggies, doggies but no bream for us. Duncan came over and anchored close by and after a while himself and Sam had their first bream of the season. Slow fishing ( we were only there for a couple of hours ) but beats sitting in front of the TV. Marineboy absolutely flys with the 60HP E-Tec on the back. Great fun. Thanks for the trip Paul.
