Blue Sky Breaming

Bought the boat last year, a merry fisher 655 'Blue sky', didn't do much proper fishing last year as we are novices but things are looking up for this year, went out on good friday just to get the sea legs back, tried to fish just outside of swanage but had no real luck then when the boys from 'Aqua Fresh' suggested that we joined them over at christchurch ledge the pick was up and we were gone.

On arrival there it was clear from the number of fishing boats, that this was the place to be, did take a bream that day but only stayed for an hour.

Now with in no I returned again on sataruday 14th with my sons Karl and Lewis and a friend bret. we got to the boat at about 10:30 and after fueling up and attaching some rod holders we were making our way out of poole habour.

At around 12:00 approach christchurch legde and out of the mist the same tell tail sign as last time a fleet of fishing boats all anchored up with more fishing rods then I care to remember. blink.gif

With a rod each and all set up on bottom rigs with spoons and last summers mackeral bits and some squid was put in the sun to defrost for the bait dropper thanks for the tip from (BigMac and Large fries). Into bream in ten minutes followed quickly by the doggies. Overall not a bad day with 6 bream 4 doggies and a wrasse, left at the turn of the tied so not to lose our pick, need to get a yanker! biggrin.gif

This is more like it, should have been doing it last year.

Adam,

Nice one mate glad you had a good day,you did better than us.After seeing a dolphin first thing in the morning we would have been better off going straight home.Still it was a great day for blasting around the English Channel at 30 knots.Look forward to seeing you out after the bass coz if the kids like bream fishing they are going to love bassing.
