jack
My impression is that Bream catches reported in our own area, are showing an increase in average size.I can remember when fish like these were only being caught in specialist trips out of Littlehampton. Is it down to warmer seas,; less commercial netting activity;,fishermen returning more fish,[quite common at one time,to hear of hundreds being caught and subsequently dumped at some competitions ]. more widespread reporting; or some other theory jack
TomBettle
Really interesting post Jack. I don't know about the answer, but I do think that the bigger fish are quite localised to specific marks. eg: Fish to beyond 4lb regularly showing at mark X with anything over 2lb being considered good at mark Y. Paul J
There will be a larger quantity of smaller female fish once the bigger males move off in the next few weeks PJ
