great white Posted May 16, 2007 Report Share Posted May 16, 2007 Those of you who moor or launch in Holes Bay may be interested in the following notice to Mariners POOLE HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS POOLE HARBOUR No. 09/2007 16 May 2007 Poole Lifting Bridge A new digital clearance display screen will be installed at Poole Lifting Bridge in the week commencing 21 May 2007. It is planned to be operational by 30 May 2007. The height indicated on the screen will be the distance between the bottom flanges of the transverse beams under the lifting spans and the water level, with a small reduction applied as a safety margin. duncan Posted May 16, 2007 Report Share Posted May 16, 2007 thanks Charlie - great help to most peope that; all they need to know now is their boats airdraft! personally I have to run my radar dome between the transverse supports most tides - but that of course is my problem! btw do we have a list of the cctv points in the harbour? I am aware of one on the top of the post by the small starboard hand buoy just inside the harbour, and another on one of the big 3 posts on the dock, but others?
