Mid Week Bream

Have been off work all this week ( what good timing with the weather ).

 

Went to Bath Tuesday and Weds and then persuaded Helen to go fishing on Thursday. Off to the ledge after the bream and only 2 boats out there yesterday.

 

Anchored down in my usual mark and Helen baits up and lowers her squid to the bottom. I am baiting up and Helen is into a fish after 30 secs ! - and it was a reasonable 2lb Bream.

She then has a second fish of similar size.

 

I then had a nice male fish and the fishing continued like this for the next hour.

 

As the tide ran faster the bites seemed to diminish. As I was considering moving Helen was into a bigger fish a nice female of 2lb 11oz and shortly after I had a male of exactly the same size.

 

Overall must have had 20 odd fish all reasonable size and every one was returned ( no barbecue in next few days ).

 

Then moved to Xray where I had a few doggies and small bream ( loads of them there ) plus a couple of mackeral.

 

Great weather to be out and the fishing was good too.
