Afishionado Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Anglers rescued after boat sinks Three anglers had to be rescued off the Dorset coast after their fishing boat sank in poor weather. Their vessel Lucy was two miles (3.2km) south east of Portland Bill when it filled up with water and lost power shortly after midday. Portland Coastguard said it sank within a minute and the three passengers were rescued from the water by another boat, also on the fishing trip. The Weymouth lifeboat and Portland Bill and Wyke Coastguard also attended. Mad Mike Quote
pegleg Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 So glad that i was given the choice of whether i wanted to go out or not on a small charter boat by Brett of jurassic fishing out of Weymouth on thursday.......He said that we might get a few hours in before the wind picked up but to be honest it was going to be a bit lumpy for my liking so i declined.......Luckily.
